Funeral services for Mrs. Ring Vellinga were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marion Mouw, last Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock and 1:30 at the First Christian Reformed Church with Reverend Bronkema officiating.

Mrs. Vellinga, nee Nellie Vander Wilt, was born at Pella, January 20, 1868. She came to Sioux County in 1871.

In 1885 she married Ring Vellinga who passed away in 1930.

Eleven children were born to them, nine of whom survive, as follows: Etta, Mrs. Ed Mulder of Volga, South Dakota, Cora, Mrs. Chas. Kleinhesselink, Orange City; Theresa, Mrs. Dick Freriks, Alton; Gertrude, Mrs. John G. Reinders, Orange City; Jeanette, Mrs. Marion Mouw; Jennie, Mrs. Chas. H. De Vries; Henry, Ed and John. Two brothers, Arnold and John of this vicinity, two sisters, Mrs. H. De Kraai, Orange City and Mrs. M. Vander Poel, Boyden; and 43 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren also survive.
