SANTA, ANA, CA—Alice Jantzen Petrich of Santa Ana, CA, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, at the age of 93 after a sort illness.

Alice was born May 12, 1926, in Boyden and moved to Sheldon when she was a teenager. She graduated from Sheldon High School in 1944. She married Donald Petrich in 1946. They lived in Sheldon until moving to California in 1966. All five of their children were born in Sheldon and they often returned to Sheldon to visit family and friends. She and her husband managed apartments in Orange County, CA, for many years.

Alice leaves behind her daughter, Virginia Smith, and son-in-law, Larry Lee; son, David Petrich, and friend Liz Goodman; son, Keith Petrich and daughter-in-law, Pat Petrich; and daughter, Donna Thompson and son-in-law Dave Thompson. She also leaves five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dean Petrich.

Celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 1510 N. Parton St., Santa Ana, CA 92706.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church in memory of Alice Petrich.
