From the Alton Democrat, January 1, 1937:

News of the passing on Christmas eve of Maurice Riedeman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Riedeman of Twin Falls, Idaho, reached relatives here Christmas morning and that night H. W. Klein left for Idaho to attend the funeral of his nephew. Maurice was born at Alton. He was 37 years of age, an invalid since infancy. He had a brilliant mind, overcame many handicaps and acquired a good education under the tutelage of his devoted sister Ruth and with the help of his parents and brothers and sisters, so that he was able to assist his father by keeping the books for their fruit ranch. The many friends of the family here extend sincere sympathy.
