John Van Zandbergen, 80, Alton, died June 7 at his home. Services were June 10 in the Van Etten Funeral Home at Orange City with the Reverend Clarence Greving of Alton officiating. Burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery near Alton.

Mr. Van Zandbergen was born August 19, 1893, at Alton. He married Selma Carlson February 25, 1926. He was a life long resident of the Alton area and was employed as an auto mechanic all his life.

Survivors include the widow; two brothers, Otto of Sioux City and Nick of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and three sisters, Mrs. Martin (Bertha) Dykstra and Mrs. Gerrit (Clara) Scholten, both of Alton, and Mrs. John (Gertrude) Hyink of Grand Rapids.
