Mrs. J. Busser Gone Beyond
Mrs. John Busser passed on at her home in Alton Friday morning, Nov. 6th, after a few week’s illness. Her death came four months after the passing of her husband, who died on July 2nd.
Clazena (Clara) Vanden Brink was born at Barneveld, Netherlands on Nov. 2nd, 1858. Her first marriage was to J. Van Steenbeek and there were no children by this marriage. Some years after the death of her husband she was married in 1902 to John Busser and one child was born to the union, Claus Busser of Cherokee. She is survived by this son and four grandchildren. The family came to this country thirty-five years ago, settling at Alton where the couple lived until their death, owning a small home in east Alton which was always neatly kept. Even in her last illness Mrs. Busser took pride in keeping her house clean and neat.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon and at First Reformed church in charge of Rev. Van Engelenhoven.
