Maria Schuurman was married to Eduard Van Roekel November 7, 1874 in Holland.
She is the mother of William Van Roekel (died in 1884 in Holland), Gisjbertje Van Roekel, Steve Van Roekel, Hendrika (Hattie) Van Roekel-De Weerd, Minnie Van Roekel-Van Roekel and William Van Roekel.
Edward and Maria came to America with their family landing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania June 14, 1892.
