John Van Otterloo passed on suddenly early Saturday morning after an attack of apoplexy.

He was 59 years old and leaves his wife, Tena (Struijk) Van Otterloo and two children, Leon and Mrs. Steve Van Otterloo, for whom the community feels much sympathy.

Mr. Van Otterloo was a respected citizen of this community having lived for some years southwest of Sioux Center. Three brothers also survive, Gerrit of Holland, Michigan, Albert of Orange City and Hannes of Sioux Center.

Reverend Dykstra was in charge of funeral services which was held Tuesday at the home and at the First Reformed Church.
