MRS. ALTA VAN NOORT BURIED LAST SATURDAY AFTERNOON

The funeral of Mrs. Alta Van Noort who died of a heart attack last week Wednesday morning, was held last Saturday afternoon at the home with services in charge of Reverend Kettle of the M.E. Church of Rock Valley. The remains were laid to rest in Hope Cemetery. A large number of relatives and friends of the family attended.

Mrs. Alta Kuijper Van Noort was born in the Netherlands. Alta married Leonard Van Noort in 1887 in the Netherlands and came to this country in 1893. The family has resided in Hull for nearly thirty-five years.

Mrs. Van Noort would have been 78 years old next February.

Surviving her are four daughters: Mrs. Alta Thomas of Ellwood, Kansas; Mrs. Emma Martin of Red Oak, Iowa; Mrs. Jennie Vande Stouwe of Rock Valley, Iowa and Miss Elizabeth Van Noort of Los Angeles, California; one son, Martin Van Noort of Hull; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
