Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Chr. Ref. Church for the two and a half year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lambert Scholten who passed away at the Orange City hospital on Thursday. Jan 15, after an illness of anemia. Rev. Mr. J. Van Reis of Sanborn was in charge of the funeral services. Joan was born near Sanborn and with the family moved to Hospers vicinity last March. She is survived by her parents, one siter Harriet and five brothers. Andrew, James, Bernard Edward and Morris. Interment was made in the Sanborn Cemetery beside an older sister.
