MRS. BESSEL VAN MIDDENDORP
Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church in Rock Valley at 2 P.M. Friday, for Mrs. Bessel Van Middendorp, 61, of Alvord, who died at the Canton South Dakota Hospital, November 22, after a long illness.

Services were conducted by the Reverend Ralph G. Ten Clay and burial was in Valley View Cemetery.
Mrs. Van Middendorp, the former Effie De Boer, was born May 20, 1911, in Rock Valley. She was married February 20, 1935 at Rock Valley.

Survivors include the widower; two sons, John and Berwln of Sioux Center; a daughter, Mrs. Donald De Jager of Alvord; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Gerrit, Arthur and Oscar all of Rock Valley; four sisters, Mrs. John Otten of Doon, Mrs. Nick Cleveringa and Mrs. Bert Driesen of Rock Valley; Mrs. Neal van Middendorp of Rock Rapid.
