The death of Mrs. Van Maveren, the wife of Aart Van Maveren, living northeast of town, which occurred last Monday evening, was a great shock to her many relatives and friends, notwithstanding the fact that she had been ill for some time past.

The funeral was held from the Reformed Church in this city last Thursday, interment in the cemetery west of town.

**Note: Gijsbertje's last name is spelled Van Maveren on her gravestone but other records have it spelled Van Meveren and Van Meeveren.
