Died: May 22, 1980John Den Boer, 85, of Rock Valley, died May 29 at Hegg Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Services were held May 31 at the Porter Funeral Home at Rock Valley. The Reverend Joel Beeke officiated and burial was in Valley View Cemetery.
John Den Boer was born December 8, 1894, in The Netherlands. He came to America with his parents at the age of seven.
He married Alice Van Beek on January 9, 1916. at Rock Valley. They farmed in the Rock Valley area. She died November 22, 1975.
Survivors include one son, John; two daughters. Mrs. Rena Vande Hoef and Mrs. William (Everdena) Koedam; also one brother, Luke, all of Rock Valley. Also 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
