Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon for Morris "Maas" Van Leeuwen, at the First Reformed Church with Reverend R. Van Heukelom officiating. Interment was made in Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home.

Mr. Van Leeuwen passed away Saturday evening at the local hospital, after a long illness.

He was born on May 5, 1903 at Alton, son of Henrik and Geertruide (Veldhuizen) Van Leeuwen and lived in this vicinity all of his life.

He married Eva Van Oort on May 17, 1924.

Surviving are his widow, his aged mother, Mrs. Henry Van Leeuwen Sr., of Orange City, one son, Don and his wife Faye, and their seven children; five brothers in California, one brother in Orange City and one brother in Primghar, Iowa, two sisters in Minnesota.
