Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Mrs. John Van Klompenburg who died Thursday morning at her home.

Born October 10, 1870 in the Netherlands Mrs. Van Klompenburg with her parents, came to this vicinity as a small child.

She was married to Mr. Van Klompenburg in 1890 and they were the parents of 10 children, one of whom died in infancy. A son, Jake passed away in 1951. Mr. Van Klompenburg preceded her in death in 1952.

The surviving children are: John of Bellflower, California; Ike of Ornge City; Grace, Mrs. Edward Vellinga of Rock Rapids; Gerrit, Rena, Henry and William of Orange City, and Dick of Alton.

There are 35 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren.

Mrs. Van Klompenburg was the last surviving member of the Yge Mulder family.

The Reverend Henry Colenbrander officiated at the funeral service and the Van Etten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was made in the local Cemetery.
