Mr. Tyler Clark, age 55, of Orange City, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019, at his residence.

There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, December 31, at 11:00am, at the Newkirk Reformed Church in rural Hospers. The Rev. Dennis Hietbrink will officiate. Following the service, there will be a luncheon and time of visitation in the church fellowship hall.

Arrangements are with the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

Tyler Acey was born on March 28, 1964, in Staten Island, New York, the son of Clinton and Judith (Beegle) Clark. He was raised in Adamsburg, Pennsylvania, where he attended school and graduated from the Hempfield Area High School. In 1983, he enlisted in the United States Navy serving as a shop foreman and a nuclear submarine welder. His military service included time in Panama and Grenada.

Tyler was united in marriage to Beverly Dawn Hatch, on October 16, 1999, in Stephens City, Virginia. In 2002, they settled in northwest Iowa, near Newkirk, and more recently in Orange City. For the past sixteen years, Tyler was employed by Interstates in Sioux Center, as their Safety Manager, and had completed the EMT training course through Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon.

Tyler was a member of the Newkirk Reformed Church and the Reuter American Legion Post in Hospers. He truly loved and cared for his family, friends, and co-workers. He was often overwhelmed by the love and support shown to him and his family by the community and was proud to call Northwest Iowa his home.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, golfing, and traveling. Time with his family, including his dogs, was a top priority for Tyler, and he loved to talk about his daughter, Lindsay, and what was going on in her life.

Survivors include his wife of more than 20 years; a daughter, Lindsay Michelle Clark, of Orange City and Ames; his mother, Judith Clark, of Stuarts Draft, Virginia; and his siblings, Tracy Russell, of Waynesboro, Virginia; Todd Clark, of Herschweiler-Pettershein, Germany; and Amy Rummell, of New Paris, Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clinton Clark.

Memorials may be directed to Partners for Patriots or the Newkirk Reformed Church.
