Funeral services were held for Mrs. Gerrit Van Grootheest, 74, at the Netherlands Reformed Church, Rock Valley, on August 9.

She passed away suddenly of a heart attack Sunday afternoon, August 5.

Teunisje Stomphorst was born in 1871 at Ede, Netherlands. In 1894 she married Gerrit Van Grootheest, and in 1920 they came to this country. Mr. Van Grootheest passed away May 12, 1942.

Surviving are nine children: Elizabeth (Mrs. John Vlastuin), Gertrude (Mrs. John Van Holland), Henry, Hendrika (Mrs. Walter Niemeyer), Maas, John, Effie (Mrs. John Vander Stroet), John, Gerrit and Rika (Mrs. Tom Vanden Top), Mrs. Van Holland still resides at Ede, The Netherlands.
