Research note: Gerrit J. Assink born 1849 Netherlands married Bygje Bessie De Groot. They were living in Grand Rapids MI in 1877. Living in Orange City IA 26 Nov 1877, he went back to Grand Rapids and Married Aaltje Te Vaanholt 1 Jun 1880.
Gerrit and Bygje had one son Anton Assink born 15 Mar 1877 Grand Rapids MI died 12 Sep 1950 Barry Tsp. Michigan.
