Research note: from a report on ancestry.com (by others) James Madison Story born abt 1838 new York died 3 Sep 1885 Sioux County IA. Her mother was Aurelia Borst 1841-1906. Their children listed were Margaret Story 1869, Katie Story 1873, Ella Story 1876, Frederick Story 1878 and Emma Story 1881.

1880 census of Sheridan Township Sioux county lists James Story 42 born abt 1838 in NY and wife Aurelia 39 abt 1841, children Margaret 11, Katie 7, Ella 4, Frederick 2 and Emma 3mo.
