ROCK VALLEY, IOWA – Donnadell Van Holland, 70, of Rock Valley, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019 at the Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull, Iowa.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 29, 2019 at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley with Rev. J.J. Witvoet officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley. A time of public viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Porter Funeral Home.

Donnadell Van Holland was born March 23, 1949 in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of Dick and Dora (Vander Weide) Bleeker. She grew up in the Sioux Center, Iowa area and graduated from Sioux Center High School. She graduated from the Sioux Valley School of Nursing.

Donnadell married Herman Van Holland on March 26, 1971 in Sioux Center. Together they made their home in Rock Valley, Iowa. She cared for others as an LPN at the hospital and the nursing home in Rock Valley for over 40 years. She was an EMT for many years.

Donnadell enjoyed the many visits with her cousins. She truly believed the saying, "my favorite people call me grandma".

Survivors include her husband Herman; three children, Tony Van Holland of Rock Valley, Gwen and husband Mark den Hollander of Rock Valley and their children, Katelynn, Lucas, and Logan, and Todd Van Holland and his wife Aimee of Sioux Center and their children Cody, Lane, and Mya; and her brother, Karlin Bleeker and his wife Carolyn of Sioux Center.

Donnadell was preceded in death by her parents.
