Mr. Tryntje Rus, 89 of Rock Valley died at the Valley Manor nursing home on Friday Nov 28, following a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec 1, at 10:00 a.m. at the Porter Funeral Home with the Rev. C. Hegman officiating. Mrs. John Schelling was the organist. Pallbearers were John Allen and Anthony John Schoneveld Howard Van Beek, Marvin, Edward and John L. Rus.
Burial was in Valley View Cemetery under the direction of Porter Funeral Home.

Tryntje Driesen was born Dec 13, 1879 in the Netherlands to Roelofje Van Benthem and John Driesen. She came to America and the Rock Valley area in 1913. She was preceded in death by three husbands.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gerrit Van Beek of Hudson SD, two sons, Everet John Schoneveld of Corona CA and John Schoneveld of Ontario, CA, six stepsons, Leonard, Jake and John Rus of Corsica SD. Neal of Holland ME, Bert of Rock Valley, Marinus of Bellflower CA, one stepdaughter Mrs. Guys Blankespoor of Rock Valley, 21 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren.
