Anthonie Vander Wilt was born at Pella, Iowa September 30, 1871 and came with his parents, Antonie and Catharina (Verhoef) Vander Wilt, sisters and brothers to Middleburg in the spring of 1882.

He was married to Minnie Holster of Orange City, May 23, 1894, and to this union were born four children, Anthony of Boyden, Cynthia, Mrs. C. A. De Valois who died December 20, 1932; Adrian of Boyden, and Catherine, Mrs. Herman De Haan of Orange City.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Jennie Bomgaars of Newkirk, three brothers, Gerrit of Orange City; Herman of Sioux Center and Walter of Middleburg, and 10 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters.

Mr. Vander Wilt, 70 died at the home of his son Adrian, near Boyden, November 8.

Funeral services were held Monday at the home of his son Adrian and in the Middleburg Reformed Church with the Reverends Kolenbrander, R. Jager, and F. B. Mansen officiating. Interment was in the Middleburg Cemetery.

Pall bearers were his nephews: William J. Vander Wilt, Frank G. Vander Wilt, Amos W. Vander Wilt, Anthony Bomgaars, William W. Bomgaars and John T. De Boer.

Attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Vander Wilt of Pella, Donald De Valois of Ames, Mrs. William Vander Wilt and grandson, William Miller, Miss Cynthia De Haan, Dr, and Mrs. A. De Valois all of Sheldon, Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Kale and son of Le Mars.
