From the Sioux County Herald, April 11, 1889:

Mrs. Jonke Mulder of West Branch, died a few days since of eresypelas [erysipelas, a bacterial skin infection]. Her husband and daughter are both dangerously ill with the same disease.

[A note on her death in De Volksvriend, April 11, 1889, gives basically the same information, giving her death day as the previous Wednesday (April 3) and her husband’s name as Jacob.]
