Funeral services for John Vander Meer of Rock Rapids were held Tuesday, February 20 in Rock Rapids, with burial in Hope Cemetery, Hull, Iowa.

John Vander Meer was born May 1, 1897, son of Roelofs and Rowena (Kosters) Vander Meer.

After the committal service, the following were guest of Mrs. Ann Bos: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vander Meer of Redlands, California, Mrs. And Mrs. Steve Van Otterloo of Rock Valley and Mr. and Mrs. Reisma of Sioux Center, Mr. Roy Vander Meer of Omaha, Nebraska and Mrs. Harold Van Otterloo of Rock Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Roelofs Vander Meer, parents of the deceased, were neighbors of Mrs. Bos.
