The remains of Mrs. Sam Vander Meer were brought from Worthington, Minnesota for interment this week at Rock Valley Cemetery, Rock Valley, Iowa.

Mary Stengel was born February 14, 1877, daughter of Ludwig and Mary (Blum) Stengel. She married Sam Vander Meer March 1, 1901. She passed away May 4, 1902, at the age of 25 years, 2 months, and 19 days.

She was the sister-in-law of Ike Vander Sluis of Orange City.
