Mrs. Anthony Vonderharr, 78, of Alton, died August 3, in the Orange City Hospital.

Services were at 10:30 A.M. August 6 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. The Reverend Mervin Hood officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery with the Van Etten Funeral Home of Orange City in charge.

Mrs. Vonderhaar, the former Rose Schnee, was born February 11, 1898, at Alton, daughter of William and Anna (Henrich) Schnee. She was married November 12, 1923, in Alton. Mr. and Mrs. Vonderharr farmed in Minnesota and near Dell Rapids, South Dakota. They retired to Alton in 1952.

Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Darlene) Friedmann of Alton and Mrs. Louis (Shirley) De Boer of Boyden; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; five sisters, Miss Cornelia of Alton, Miss Emma, Miss Rita and Mrs. John (Adella) Reinders, all of Orange City, and Mrs. Oscar (Florence) Klein of New Jersey; and a brother, Albert of Alton.
