Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon for Mrs. Mary E. Vander Hamm, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Reverend H.W. Krieger officiated with burial in the local cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Vander Hamm died at her home last Tuesday evening at 4:30 having been bedfast since November 17th.

Mary E. Geuder was born July 15, 1863 at Guttenberg, Iowa, the daughter of Sebastian and Helena (Woerlein) Geuder. She was married in 1885 to John Vander Hamm and they farmed southeast of Ireton until 1913 when they retired and moved to the present residence in Ireton. Mr. Vander Hamm died October 10, 1940.

Survivors are the daughter, Christine, at home and a son, Ernest Vander Hamm of Sheldon, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
