Wilbur Vander Bok, Rock Valley, Dies

Funeral services were held Wednesday for Wilbur Vander Bok, 40, who died Sunday, August 28 at a Sioux Falls hospital as the result of a heart-ailment. He had been ill for about a year and has not been able to work for a month.

Mr. Vander Bok was born May 16, 1915, in Rock Valley to Henry and Anna (Van Houten) Vander Bok. He grew up in Rock Valley, received his education here, and has worked as a carpenter.

He married Coba Veltkamp in 1942. To this union three children were born, Geneva Ruth, Carol Ann and Sandra Kay, all at home with their mother.

Mr. Vander Bok is also survived by three brothers and one sister, Henry, Adam and (Edith) Mrs. Tom Vanden Bosch, all of Rock Valley, and Robert of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Funeral services were held in the Calvin Christian Reformed Church with Reverend J. C. Ribbens officiating. Pallbearers were John Dirksen, John Hoekstra, Ted Baartrnan, Charlie Kooima, Cornie De Ruyter and Len Van Noord. Interment was in the Valley View Cemetery.
