Mrs. John Vanden Oever, 70, of George, died October 4 in a Sioux Falls Hospital of long illness.

Mrs. Vanden Oever, the former Winnie Hoogland, was born December 7, 1906 at Sioux Center. She was married January 30, 1941 at Doon. She was a member of Hope Reformed Church.

Survivors include the widow; one daughter, Mrs. Norm (Barbara) Van Manen of Lennox, South Dakota; four grandchildren; two brothers, Edward of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Gerrit of Luverne, Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. John (Alice) Hoff of Hull and Miss Hattie of Sheldon.
