Died: August 26, 1951Goosen Vanden Berg, 74, died at Grossmann Hospital August 26, 1951.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Alton Reformed Church with Reverend E. Van Engelenhoven officiating. Burial was in the Nassau Township Cemetery.
Mr. Vanden Berg was born in The Netherlands and came to this country with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Vanden Berg, at the age of two. The family lived on a farm south of Alton.
His only survivor is his sister, Lyda. They made their home together. Miss Lyda recently bought the Ray De Jong home in Alton. Their farm has been willed to Northwestern Junior College.
