Pearl Vanden Berg, 74, of Boyden died suddenly at her home.

Services will be Thursday at 11 A.M. in the First Reformed Church of Boyden. The Reverend Stephen Tamminga will officiate. Burial will be in the Boyden Cemetery. Family visitation will be tonight, Wednesday, from 7-8:30 P.M. at the First Reformed Church of Boyden. The services are under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Mrs. Vanden Berg, the former Pearl Haze, was born May 1, 1912 at Sheldon. She lived her youth in Edgerton, Minnesota, Strasburg, North Dakota and Sheldon. She attended school in Strasburg and Sheldon. On August 15, 1934, Pearl married Chris Vanden Berg in Boyden. They lived on a farm near Boyden and later moved into town. He died June 1957.

She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Boyden and the Ladies Aid Circle.

Survivors include one son, Anthony of Warner Robins, Georgia; one daughter, Mrs. Urban (Mary) Hartman of Shakopee, Minnesota; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
