Funeral Erwin De Jong Today

Funeral services for the late Erwin De Jong, 16-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert De Jong who resides two miles south and one-half mile east of Boyden, will be held this Friday afternoon at Boyden. Erwin died at 5:30 Monday evening at the Hull hospital from an attack of appendicitis.

Erwin was a sophomore in the Boyden high school and his sudden passing cast a pall of gloom over his former classmates. He was a bright lad of much promise.

He is survived by his parents and one sister. His father is a brother of Harold De Jong of the Orange City Furniture Store, his mother a sister of Jake G. Mouw of Orange City. Members of the family have the heartfelt sympathy of the community in their great loss.
