Arie Roos died at his home west of town Thursday morning after a lingering illness of cancer of the Stomach. The funeral will be held Saturday. Particulars are not available at this writing.

Died at this home just west of Hospers, on Thursday July 5th 1917, at 8:15 o’clock, Arien Roos, having reached the age of 55 years, 3 months and 24 days. He was born in the Netherlands and came to Sioux County in 1882. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon with services at the First Reformed Church.
