Funeral services were held at the First Christian Reformed Church here at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, January 17, for Miss Dora Wissink, 67, life-long resident of Sioux Center vicinity, who died at the Methodist Hospital in Sioux City Friday following a lingering illness.
Services were conducted by the Reverend Louis Tamminga and burial was made in the Middleburg Cemetery with Vander Ploeg's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Henry Dokter, Edwin Dokter, Alfred Hubers, Henry Brinks, Clarence Vander Stoep and Sherman Wissink.
A brief service attended by immediate members of the family was held at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Chapel preceding the service at the church.
Miss Wissink, daughter of Henry J. and Betje (Freeman) Wissink, was born in Sioux Center December 2, 1899.
Survivors include two sisters - Hattie (Mrs. Martin Brinks) of Sioux Center, Iowa, and Bertha (Mrs. Dokter) of Sioux Center, Iowa; a brother, Henry Wissink, of Boyden, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by: a sister, Minnie (Mrs. Henry A. Hubers) in 1951; a brother, Gerrit, who died at the age of 11 in 1908.
