Funeral services for William Wissink, 64, longtime resident, were held at 1:30 P.M. Monday, April 27, at the First Reformed Church in Ireton with Reverend Lenters officiating. Mrs. Jake Kramer was the organist and music provided by the church quartet. Active casket bearers were Fred Schuette, Lawrence Eilts, Bud Vreeman, Eldo Degen, Dick Altena, and William Koopmans. Honorary casket bearers were Jack Ping, Peter Lockhorst, Julius Barents, John Dekker, Alvin Vandeberg and Raymond Plas. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton under the direction of Dow Funeral Home.

He passed away suddenly at work on Thursday, April 23.

The son of Hermanus M. and Geritje (Van Maanen,Roelofs) Wissink, he was born March 11, 1906, near Sioux Center. He was married to Coba Vander Tuig September 26, 1933, at Pipestone, Minnesota, and the couple moved to Ireton in 1936. He lived in Sioux County all of his life, coming to the Ireton area in 1936. He was a member of the First Reformed Church in Ireton.

Survivors include his wife; a stepson Lloyd; six brothers, Herman J. and Henry J. of Sioux Center; Lawrence of Sheldon and Harvey of Commerce, Texas; and one sister Mrs. Clarence DenHerder of Sioux Center.
