Mrs. James Reynolds Passed Away in Sioux City Monday Evening Mrs. James M. Reynolds passed away at St. Joseph's hospital in Sioux City Monday evening, Dec. 4th, at seven o'clock. She had been in poor health for some time and on Sunday evening she was taken to the hospital. She submitted to an operation for gall stones and the removal of a tumor on Monday morning. She did not regain consciousness, dying that evening. Mary A. Macomber was born at I Cascade, Iowa, Dec. 23, 1872. She moved with her parents to Union county about twenty-eight years ago, residing about seven miles northwest of Hawarden. She was united in marriage with Jas. M. Reynolds and moved with him onto a farm near Bridgewater, S. D., later moving to Hawarden. Eleven years ago the family moved to Leeds, Iowa, where they have since made their home. She was a member of the Methodist church of Leeds and was an active church worker. She was a woman with a beautiful Christian character and will be greatly missed in the home and by all who knew her. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church at Leeds Wednesday. The remains were brought here for burial. Short funeral services were held at the home of her mother, Mrs. Martha Macomber, in this city, conducted by Rev. Burnett of Leeds. Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her husband, Jas. M. Reynolds, and four children, her mother, Mrs. Martha Macomber, one sister, Mrs. S. McGloghlon of Hawarden, and one brother, Jas. Macomber of Leeds, Iowa. The out of town people who attended the funeral were, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Macomber, Earl and Miss Olive Gywn and Mr. White, all of Leeds. Sincere sympathy is extended to the family in their hour of bereavement.
