Funeral services for Bert Top, 83, were last Thursday in the Second Reformed Church, Orange City. Reverend Jay De Vries officiated.

Mr. Top died Saturday, December 30, in Artesia, California. Formerly of Orange City, he was living with his son and family, the John Top in Lakewood, California.

Mr. Top was born September 23, 1884 in Sioux Center and was married to Gertrude Veenstra in 1911. Preceding him in death were Mrs. Top, who died in 1966, a daughter and a son.

Surviving are two sons, Dick of Orange City and John of Lakewood, California; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Swets of Artesia, California and Mrs. Stanley Bales of Englewood, Colorado; four sisters, 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
