Died: July 29, 1967Barney Westra passed away unexpectedly Saturday July 29, 1967, following a heart attack.
Barney Westra, son of Peter and Hendrika (Grenzenberg) Westra, was 76 years of age, born in Sioux County on September 27, 1890 and lived in this vicinity most of his life.
On January 13, 1912 he was married to Hattie Brunsting, who preceded him in death on March 14, 1941. To this union seven children were born.
On February 19, 1943 he was united in marriage to Ellie Dirksen who he now leaves to mourn.
He was laid to rest at Hope Cemetery, Hull, Sioux County Iowa.
