From the Sioux County Index (Hull), September 21, 1934:

Mrs. Henry Claerbout Buried at Le Mars Last Tuesday

Mrs. Angeline Claerbout, nee Lensink, was born in the Netherlands, and came to this country when about a year old. Her parents settled in Wisconsin, where she married Mr. Henry Claerbout when she became a young woman. They moved to Hull soon afterwards and were residents here for many years.

To this union nine children were born, two of whom, with her husband, have preceded her in death, one in infancy and one—Jennie—at the age of twenty two. The surviving children are: Isaac of Cedar Grove, Wisconsin; Mrs. Anna Dethmers of Edgerton, Minnesota; William, of Hull, Iowa; Mrs. Gertrude Barnard of Sioux City, Iowa; John of St. Cloud, Minnesota; Mrs. Elizabeth Kuyper of Sioux City, Iowa; and Mrs. Delia Dunn of Le Mars, Iowa.

Mrs. Claerbout died at the age of seventy nine years, eleven months, and thirteen days, at the home of her son Isaac at Cedar Grove, Wisconsin, Friday. Funeral services were held Saturday from the Presbyterian church there and the remains were brought to Hull, where services were held Tuesday from the home of her son, William, and interment was made in the cemetery at Le Mars, beside the remains of her husband and daughter. Rev. G. H. Douwstra officiated here and at the grave at Le Mars.

A brief note on her death in the Alton Democrat, September 21, 1934, Hull news, says that she had been ill with cancer and tuberculosis for seven years.

News from the Holland Home, Sheldon, in De Volksvriend, September 20, 1934, says that news came to G. W. Lensink of the death of his sister, Mrs. H. Claerbout, at Cedar Grove, Wis., where she had been sick since June.

Her three sons are listed: Isaac (1875-1936), William (1880-1969), and John (1884-1957).
