Services were held Thursday morning at St. Joseph's Church in Granville for Catherine Werner,82, who passed away at her home in Granville last Tuesday.
A nephew of Miss Werner, Reverend Cyril Werner of Wynot, Nebraska, was celebrant at the Requiem High Mass and was assisted by Reverend N.J. Becker as deacon and Reverend L.M. Schoeppner of Oyens as sub-deacon.
Born September 25, 1878 in Carroll County, she came to Granville in 1902 and for many years served as housekeeper for J.A. Gerlemann, pastor of St. Joseph's Church.
Survivors are four sisters: Mrs. Rose Neppel, Mrs. Walter Loeschen, Mrs. William Kennebeck, all of Carroll and Miss Lena Werner of Granville.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery. Pallbearers were six nephews.
