Mr. Fred Wegner died Friday morning at the local hospital at the age of 91 years and 26 days.

Funeral services were held on Monday from Zion Lutheran Church, in charge of Reverend William Meinen.

Fred is the son of Henry & Marie (Mehring) Wegener. Fred married Emma Koster on April 9, 1886 in Hull, Iowa. One daughter, Ella Marie Caroline Wegener, was born to Fred and Emma.

Mrs. Emma Wegner preceded him in death, in 1945, 3 years ago. The only near surviving relative is their daughter Ella who took care of her father until Thursday evening when he was taken to the hospital and passed away the next morning.

Fred Wegener was laid to rest at Hope Cemetery, Hull, Sioux County, Iowa.
