After an illness of more than a year, death came Saturday morning to Miss Velma Watson, 19 year old daughter of Daniel and Edith (Frank) Watson who live at the bend of Highway 10 north of Alton. The young woman, who had Hodgkin's disease, had been in bed for six months.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Orange City Town Hall with William Smeenk conducting the services. Van Etten's Funeral Service was in charge. Burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery.
