From the Sioux County Herald (Orange City), September 20, 1899:

Mrs. G. K. Webben died at an early hour Monday morning, at her home in the south part of town, of typhoid fever, after an illness of two weeks. Deceased was 42 years of age and leaves her husband and several children to mourn her demise. She was a Christian woman—a member of the Christian Reformed church, from which edifice the funeral services were held this afternoon, the remains being interred yesterday afternoon. Her husband and one of the children are down with the same malady but hopes of their recovery are entertained, there being a slight improvement in their condition. The announcement of Mrs. Webben’s death was a sad blow to her numerous friends and the sympathy of the entire community goes out to the stricken family.
