From the Alton Democrat, April 14, 1900, p. 5 [Alton news]:

Henry Klein who works for Peter Kass was called to Hospers Friday by the dangerous illness of his mother who died on the evening of that day. Misses Fannie Jongejan and Hattie Riedeman went up to attend the funeral Monday. Henry returned to Alton Tuesday.

From the Alton Democrat, April 14, 1900, p. 8, Hospers news:

Mrs. Klein died at her home two and a half miles west of Hospers last Friday [April 7]. Her husband died about three years ago. She leaves five sons and one daughter to mourn her death. Our sympathy is with the sons and daughter in this their hour of deepest grief.

From the Sioux County Herald (Orange City), April 11, 1900, Alton news:

Mrs. Klein, mother of Henry Klein employed in Alton, departed this life at her home in Hospers Saturday. The funeral which was held on Monday was attended by a number of Henry’s young friends from this place.

From the Nieuwsblad Voor Orange City, April 11, 1900:

(Translated) Old Mrs. Klein, sister of Mrs. H. J. Roelofs here, died Friday at Hospers at the age of about 60 years. The funeral was held Monday.

Her husband Willem Klein was born 18 Sep 1834 in Deventen Municipality, Overijssel, Netherlands, and died 27 Dec 1896 in Hospers.
