Funeral services for Mrs. Sam Wassenaar. 84, of Rock Valley, were held Thursday (today), March 6. l:30 p.m. in the First Reformed Church with the Reverend Ralph Ten Clay officiating. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery under the direction of Porter Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wassenaar died Tuesday, March 3, at the Valley Manor Nursing Home following a long illness. Bertha Postma was born on January 12, 1885 in The Netherlands.
She married Sam Wassenaar on June 7, 1923 at Salem, South Dakota.
Survivors are her husband; two sons, Charles and Frank of Waukesha, Wisconsin; one daughter, Mrs. Loren Jones of Lansing, Illinois; and five grandchildren.
