From the Alton Democrat, December 19, 1908, Boyden news:

Mr. Oelbekkink who has been suffering for some time with stomach trouble passed away on Sunday morning and was buried from the Dutch Reformed church here Wednesday. He leaves an aged wife and a small adopted son.

From the Boyden Reporter, December 19, 1908:

John Oldbekkink died at his home Sunday afternoon after a long illness with cancer of the stomach. The end has been looked for for some time as he had been constantly failing for the past several months. The funeral was held in the Reformed Church Tuesday afternoon. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Van Houte, and the remains were laid to rest in the Sheridan Township Cemetery. He leaves a wife and son, besides a host of friends to mourn his demise.

From De Volksvriend, December 17, 1908, Boyden news:

Mr. Oolbekkink is niet meer. Zoondag omstreeks 2 uur heeft hij tijdelijke met het eeuwige verwisseld. Heden, Dinsdag n. m., heeft de begrafenis plaats. Mr. Oolbekkink had den leeftijd bereikt van 68 jaren. Hij was geboren te Raalte, Overijsel, Ned., en verhuisde met zijne vrouw in 1883 naar Amerika 32 jaren mochten ze samen leven, en nu blijft zijne vrouw alleen achter, daar hun huwelijk kinderloos was.

TRANSLATION:

Mr. Oolbekkink is no more. About 2 o’clock on Sunday he exchanged the temporary for the eternal. The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Oolbekkink had reached the age of 68 years. He was born in Raalte, Overijsel, The Netherlands, and moved to America with his wife in 1883. They were permitted to live together for 32 years, and now his wife is left alone, since their marriage was childless.

The surname is spelled Oolbekkink both in the Sioux County Cemetery Index and in other obituaries posted on this site. John does not appear in the cemetery index under any of the above spellings.

The 1900 U.S. census for Sioux County, Sheridan Township, Boyden Village has a John Olbecking, age 59, born June 1840 in Holland, a day laborer, and wife Agnes, age 45, born in Holland; married 23 years, no children.
