Funeral services for John L. Walker, 69, who died Friday at his home in Hudson, were held at 9 o’clock Monday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hawarden, Father L. Friedman officiating.

The Rosary was recited at the Vandemore Funeral Home in Hudson at eight o’clock Sunday evening.

He married Rose A. Gourley on May 6, 1913 in Rock Valley. They farmed in the Hudson area and later operated the theater and restaurant in Hudson. For several years Mr. Walker was in charge of the Recreation Parlors at Hudson. He had been retired the past three years.

Survivors include the widow, Rose Ann (Gourley) Walker; two daughters, Mrs. Bruce Poole of Sacramento. California and Mrs. Cecil Christensen of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; and a brother, Charles of Centerville, South Dakota.
