Mrs. Gerrit Reinders, Sr., who in the night of Monday on Tuesday, past week, at more than 56 year old exchanged the temporary with the eternal. Born 23 Aug, 1869 at Alto, Wis., saw the first light of life. At 17 age old she left with her parents to Sioux County. There she entered on 16 March 1888, in the marriage with J. E. Mouw, who had a daughter, Hermina Johanna, now Mrs. Rev. D. H. Muyskens, of Sultan Washington. This union was blessed with eight children, of which five are still alive Etta, (Mrs. Harry Kooyman), Orange City; Angelyn W. (Mrs. John DeBlauw), Grand Rapids MI, John Gerrit and Elizabeth Orange City. Den 4th October 1905, this marriage was ended by accident that her husband had. Then 27 July 1910 the widow married Gerrit Reinders, who had five children Gertrude (Mrs. Joe Wiersma) Gerrit, Geraldine, John, and Albert. Mrs. Rienders was deemed and honored by all who knew her, and the children hung on to their loving mother. But pernicious anemia, the disease that struck her, ended her well-spent life. Thursday at half past 2 The funeral service took place in the 1st Chr. Ref. Church, led by Dss. Monsma and Hylkema, and attended by very many attended family members, neighbors and friends

Her first husband was Jan Engelbartus Mouw born 4 March 1854 Barneveld, Gelderland Neth died 4 Oct 1905 Alton IA. Elizabeth Mouw was born to Gerrit Jans Mouw 1833-1914 and Willemtje Frens.
