Funeral services were held Sat. Dec. 11 at Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley for Mrs. Sam Koedam, age 66, long time resident of Corsica S.D., who died at the home of her daughter at Fairview, S.D.
The Rev. C. Hegeman, pastor of the Netherlands Reformed Church officiated. Mrs. Koedam was buried in Valley View Cemetery.
Mrs. Koedam, the former Gertie Zomer was born March 11, 1899 to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Zomer at Corsica and was married to Sam Koedam in Corsica Dec. 9 1920.

Survivors include the widower, four daughters, Mrs. Gilbert Hoogendoorn, Fairview, S.D., Mrs. Richard Van Otterloo, Rock Valley, Mrs. Gerrit Vonk, Ireton, and Mrs. Leonard Zoeller, Hawarden, Iowa; Six sons, Bill, Rock Valley, Herman, John and Andrew Sheldon, IA. James, Corsica S.D., two sisters, Mrs. John Rus????? illegible), Mrs. Dick Spaans and 1 brother Herman all of Corsica., 32 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Martha, her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Pallbearers were Robert Zomer, John L. Rus, Marvin Rus, Herman Spaans, John Zomer, Herman Rus, all nephews of Mrs. Koedam.
