KATHLEEN M. PAWLOWSKI Mrs. Kathleen M. Pawlowski, age 53, of Alton, passed away July 25, at the Sioux County Care Center, near Orange City. Kathleen Marie was born August 11, 1924 in Plymouth County, near Granville, the daughter of John M. and Kathryn Schwarz Schnoes. At the age of 18, she moved to Chicago, where in February of 1948 she married Joseph Pawlowski. In 1972, Kathleen returned to Alton and entered the care center in 1974.

Survivors include her husband; daughter, Mrs. James (Anita) Groholski of Hanover Park, 111.; grandson Robert; four sisters, Mrs. Virgil (Elsie) Albers and Mrs. Urban (Bertha) Dykstra, both of Alton, Mrs. Glen (Esther) Malcom, of Griswold, and Mrs. James (Magdalen) Ehlers of Red Oak; and three brothers, Frank and Bernard Schnoes, both of Paullina, and John Schnoes of Cherokee. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol, in 1965. Funeral Mass was July 28 at Si. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. The Rev. Father Mervin Hood officiated. Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery, under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City. Casket bearers were nephews Frank Jr., Stephen, Mark, Dean and Daniel Schnoes and Roger Dykstra
