Note: From a report on Ancesty.com (by others) When Mathias Probst was born on June 17, 1834, in Michelbouch, Diekirch, Luxembourg, his father, John, was 33 and his mother, Anne, was 37. He married Katherine Ignatz on November 6, 1877, in Evanston, Illinois. They had 12 children in 48 years. He died on October 8, 1915, in Alton, Iowa, having lived a long life of 81 years, and was buried there.

Her mother Katherine Ignatz was born on November 7, 1859, in Germany. She married Mathias Probst on November 6, 1877, in Evanston, Illinois. They had 12 children in 48 years. She died on April 11, 1944, in Alton, Iowa, at the age of 84, and was buried there. Their children include Mary born 1884-1887.
